Tom, do you have any experience with this older model?  The HBS57 drive spec shows >50us for direction setup time.  But the new LeadShine drives have dropped this spec to >5us.

If this >50usec spec is accurate, is there any way to config KFLOP to work with this older drive?

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

I Googled and found his spec:

Which seems to indicate 5us Direction Setup Time.  Where did you find 50us?

KFLOP can not provide 50us setup time.

It doesn't seem to support cw/ccw pulses but if it would that would be a solution.

Tom, I found >50us setup time in the hardware manual.

Search for "leadshine hbs57 manual", 2nd link shown on a googledrive, page 15 on pdf.  Maybe this is a misprint because the specs do not match.  I guess I will have to test.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

Seems to clearly show 50us.

Page 9 shows a software option for cw/ccw mode.  Do you have that?

Tom, yes, I see that but do not have the software to change.  I will see if I can locate it.

It is odd that the other spec sheet is 5usec and also the new drives show 5usec...so was hoping it was a misprint in the manual.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike
I have Leadshine HBS507 (a newer version of HBS57) - it works like a charm with Kflop, even with default settings (I mean I didn`t even change Kflop direction setup time to 5.7ms). I`ve seen that page in google docs manual, it seems like they do have misprint (in fact, I found many mistakes in several Leadshine manuals, not so critical, but they were there). My guess is they mixed direction setup time with direction delay time up and printed the same value (see attachment)

Best regards, Alex
